Changes
in ambient temperature and fluid temperature affect pumped volume and
repeatability. This happens because the hardness of the elastomer used for the
wetted parts is affected by temperature. The table below shows an example of
measured pumped volume and repeatability when ambient temperature and fluid
temperature are varied.
Model
number used: NRP-500P
Measurement conditions:
The
pumped volume is set at 500mm3 when the ambient temperature and the
fluid temperature are 24°C.
(Other
than the condition specified below, the measurements follows the standard test
conditions.)

Reference:
Changes in pumped volume and a decrease in repeatability due to temperature
change can be prevented by replacing elastomeric parts with non-elastomeric
parts. The following is an example of measured pumped volume and repeatability
of a pump containing no elastomeric parts when ambient temperature and fluid
temperature are varied.
Model number used: NRP-150T-1 (Maximum pumped
volume = 150mm3, diaphragm material = PTFE, without any check valves)
Measurement conditions:
E
Instead
of check valves, a WTA-2T-M6 solenoid valve (Valve body material: PTFE,
Diaphragm material: PTFE) is connected to each the inlet and outlet of the
metering pump.
EThe
pumped volume is set at 150mm3 when the ambient temperature and the
fluid temperature are 24°C.

than the condition specified below, the measurement follows the standard test
conditions.)
